#mathapp

I am new to the Twitter world however, I am learning the benefits to this social media website.
I typed in the search engine #math then #teachingmath and then #mathapps
I was able to find a interesting math game that could be used in class when students have some free time. This app entitled: MultiFlow is a exciting app for practicing multiplication.
It is a great way to have students work on their multiplication tables. This youtube link below gives a brief tutorial about the app. The video is not very exciting but it does explore the app and acts as a good tutorial.

  1. I particularly enjoy this app because it connects to Game Center. Almost everyone (including kids) that has a phone plays some sort of game that requires Game Center, meaning that most kids would already have an account. For anyone that doesn't have an account, it's very simple to sign up! One of the reasons I like games like this is that it inspired the kids to stay engaged through competition. My experience in the classroom has shown me that a little friendly competition makes students almost forget that they are learning! For the kids who get a bit anxious in a competitive environment, not signing into Game Center is always an option. Great app suggestion!

  2. This is a great app! I really like the different options, the One min and the Reversal. The Reversal one would be great to give students before doing division. Giving them the general idea of the thought process that they need to go though. My 9 year old is has been playing it since I downloaded it!
